The same locking logic we build for aluminium windows, made for PVC (plastic-steel) profiles: window and door transmissions, friction stays and pegstays, crescent locks, hinges and cylinders. What we supply for PVC windows and doors

The PVC range follows the same logic as the aluminium sets: a transmission carries the locking points along the sash, and stays or hinges carry the sash weight. Codes below are the catalogue codes.

Selection notes

What to check before ordering PVC hardware

These notes come from the PVC section of the catalogue and cover the installation space, stay sizing and fixings.

Hardware needs 16–16.5 mm of installation space in the PVC profile, measured at the sash and frame.
For a side-hung sash the friction stay should be at least 2/3 of the window width; a light sash can go down to 1/2. For a top-hung sash the stay length is about 1/2 of the window height.
When the stay is loaded it deflects elastically, so choose a total stay height 0.5–1 mm larger than the gap between sash and frame for an even seal when closed.
Fixings are stainless steel ST4.2 / 4.8 self-tapping screws in countersunk and pan head versions: countersunk where the profile is countersunk, pan head elsewhere.
The OHL.DWK-001 duplicator is used to transfer the drilling pattern to the PVC profile; it is not handed.
